I actually have a bet with one of our employees at the store. I wagered that it will snow once more, at least 5 inches or more. If I win, that employee will have to snow blow my driveway, and if I lose I have to give a bottle of wine, $20 or less, complete with dinner! History predicts that we usually get a late spring snow storm. I'm just not feelin' it this year! One never knows....
It's spring now and once again we battled the governor and his proposal to put wine in grocery stores. It's looking good for us, although nothing is set in stone. The assembly and senate both proposed budgets without it. Our governor is so weak that I highly doubt it passing. Thank goodness!!!!!
Summer is quickly approaching. It is a time for gin, rose wine and rum cocktails! Speaking of gin, we took in 2 new gins that will exceed any expectation! Come in and ask the clerk where they are and have at it.
On a personal note, I just had my oldest daughter turn 18. While it is entry into adulthood for her, I just had to sit back and think I raised a perfectly normal kid and got through it without any issues. She has asked me if she can work in the store now that she is 18. So, you might see a new person in the store, her name is Meghan, she will probably won't know where everything is, and how to assist you in your purchasing, but she will learn. I look forward to passing on the beauty of being a proprietor to my kids. One day she might own the store!!

Hi everyone! Just a reminder, the cooking classes are approx 3/4 full. If you want to sign up, do it soon! They will be fun! Harvest Spirits (aka Golden harvest Farms) just came out with a new AppleJack. It is distilled from 100% apple cider and smooth as heck! Trust me, I tasted it, over and over again!! Those guys are just gettin' started and have a bright future ahead of them.
The cooler weather is here now. It's amazing how things switch depending on the season. Red wine is more popular, and the "brown" spirits are flowing! There is nothing like curling up to a fire with a smooth cordial, bourbon, or cognac.
I just want to wish everyone Happy Holiday's! Enjoy! We will be open on Christmas Eve until 5 P.M. Shop early for those holiday gifts and stocking stuffers.
Cheers,
Michael

Well, we finally got some warm weather! I hope everyone enjoyed it. Now our focus is on back to school needs. Clothes, notebooks, and what is the deal with these calculators they require you to get, that are so expensive. As a parent I do like the structure that school brings. The kids don't see it my way though.
I started a new page on our website that is promoting cooking classes. I will start the classes beginning January 2010. The classes will be available to individual private instruction or up to 4 students. You will prepare a 3 course meal and afterwards sit down at our dining room table to discuss each item over a glass of wine. Menus will be tailored to each individual class, depending on what the students want to learn. I don't have pricing yet. Give me a few weeks to nail down the details. What better thing is there to do during the cold nights of winter! If you have any questions about the cooking classes, please email me at mike@kinderwine.com
I look forward to seeing you all at the store. Don't forget to check out our coupons page for $$ saving coupons.

Hi everyone! Warm weather is finally here! It was a long and tough winter. With the rising temperatures comes the need for light refreshing wines. We have increased our sauvignon blanc, rose, and French white sections in the store.
If you have never had a "true" rose, they are something not to be missed. NO, they are not sweet, like white zinfandel. They are bone dry with hints of strawberries, cherries and lavander. The perfect beverage for a hot summer day!
Vino Verde is another great warm weather wine. Low in alcohol, with a slight efervencence (sp?), it has lemony overtones. Gazela is the one we have in stock. Just ask on of our employees to show you where it is in the store.
